The most expensive item on a shelf isn’t always necessarily the best item on the shelf. You would never walk into a store and only look through the more costly items, so why would you ever do such a thing whilst shopping online? When searching for a WordPress theme, the price should never be what causes you to decide on its quality. Whenever one is in the market for a new theme, they should always walk into the “showroom” and explore without even considering the price or having a budget in mind. This isn’t just so you will end up throwing all of your money away on an insanely expensive theme, but rather so that you will consider cheaper and completely free options as well.
In the past, a theme’s cost more often than not went hand in hand with its quality. The more expensive a theme was, the better a theme you were getting, and vice versa. However, with so many expert and budding developers creating new themes constantly, a rather large body of cheap and free themes have begun to emerge (and they’re actually pretty fantastic). Of course, that is not to say that paid and free themes don’t both have a rather large list of pros and cons to weigh, but it is to say that you should most definitely take the time to consider the sets of pros and cons of each without keeping the pay point in mind. Amount paid does not equal amount worth, and there’s most likely a free theme out there that could give your website the success it deserves.
